Instructions for Transgender Candidates :

Transgender candidates may also apply for TNUSRB 2023 Police Constable Examination.

Transgender candidates permitted to opt the SEX category as Male, Female or Transgender.

If they choose category as 'Transgender' they should submit the identity card issued by 'Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board'

If they choose as Male category, they should full fill the Male categories Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

If they choose as Female category, they should full fill the Female categories Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
If they opt Transgender category, they will be considered in women category and 30% reservation is applicable for them.

Age Limit Detail :

Cut off date for age calculation 01.07.2023

Minimum Age is 18 years completed.

UR : Maximum Age is 26 years

BC / MBC / DC : Maximum Age is 28 years

SC / SCA / ST : Maximum Age is 31 years

Ex-Serviceman : Maximum Age is 47 years

Destitute Widow of All Communities : Maximum Age is 37 years

Reservations :
10% allotment for Wards cum Dependent (Police) - 336 Posts

10% allotment for Meritorious Sports Persons - 336 Posts

5% allotment for Ex-Serviceman

3% allotment for Destitute Widows.

20% allotment for PSTM Quota (1st Std to 10th Std must studied in Tamil Medium).

Written Examination Details :

Total Marks - 80

Part I - Tamil Eligibility Test - 80 MCQs * 1 Mark = Total 80 Marks Time 1 hour 20 minutes. Minimum eligibility is 32 marks (i.e. 40%). This eligibility marks will not be considered for ranking purpose.

Part II - Main Exam

Part II A - General Knowledge 45 MCQ ; Part II B - Psychology 25 MCQ - Total 70 MCQs * 1 Mark = total 70 Marks - Time 1 hour 20 minutes. Minimum eligibility is 25 marks (i.e. 35%)
Cut-off mark will be published 1:5 ratio of total vacancies
