• Civil Judge in Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service, Post Code 2089, Service Code 060) - 245 Posts - Basic Pay 27700  plus allowances in Scale of Pay Structure 27700-770-33090-920--40450-1080-44700* - 
• Bachelor Degree in Law with out any experience / Degree must be obtained within 3 years prior to this notification / Minimum 50% marks for UR candidates and 45% marks for all other candidates.
• OR 
• Bachelor Degree in Law 
• and 
• practicing as an Advocate / Pleader in any Court on the date of Notification for recruitment to the post and must have so practiced for a period of not less than 3 years on such date 
• or
• Must be an Assistant Public Prosecutor having not less than 3 years of experience as an Advocate / Assistant Public Prosecutor.

Age limit details for For Practicing Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors :

For BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST / Destitute Widow of All Communities candidates - Minimum Age limit 25 years ; Maximum Age limit 42 years

For UR candidates - Minimum Age limit 25 years ; Maximum Age limit 37 years

Age limit details for Fresh Law candidates :

For all candidates - Minimum Age limit 22 years ; Maximum Age limit 29 years

Preliminary Examination Details :

Examination will be conducted as OMR.

Graduate Degree Standard

• 100 Questions - Each 1 marks - 100 Marks - Time 180 minutes
• Negative marking system applicable in Preliminary Exam. Each wrong answer will be awarded  minus 0.10 marks.

Main Examination Details :

Examination will be conducted as written exam..

Graduate Degree Standard

• Paper 1 - Translation  - 100 Marks - Time 180 minutes
• Paper 2 - Law Paper 1 - 100 Marks - Time 180 minutes
• Paper 3 - Law Paper 2 - 100 Marks - Time 180 minutes
• Paper 4 - Law Paper 3 - 100 Marks - Time 180 minutes

Interview marks - 60 Marks. 

Total marks - 460 Marks.
