- Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (கால்நடை உதவி அறுவைசிகிச்சை மருத்துவர்) in Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Service (Post Code 1695 / Service Code 019 ) - 731 Posts - Basic Pay 56100 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Matrix Level 22 (Gross Monthly Salary Rs.84,174*) - Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc&AH) with valid registration in Tamil Nadu State Animal ; candidates must studied Tamil as a language paper in SSLC / 10th Std Level.
Age limit details :
Cut off date for age limit calculation is 01.07.2022
Minimum age limit is 18 years completed.
Maximum age limit as follows :
32 years for UR candidates.
No Age limit for BC / BC Muslims / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST
candidates and Destitute Widows of all castes.
10 years additional age relaxations applicable for Persons with

Examination details :
Examination will be conducted as Computer Based Multiple Choice Questions (CBT).
Paper I - UG Level Animal Husbandry and Veterinary
- 200 Questions - 300 Marks - Time 180 minutes
Paper II Part A - 10th Std Level
- Tamil Eligibility Test - 100 Questions - 150 Marks - Time 90 minutes
Paper II Part B - GK
- 75 Questions General Studies from Degree Level
- 25 Questions Aptitude and Mental Ability (SSLC Level)
- Total 100 Questions - 150 Marks - Time 90 minutes
Kindly Note :
Tamil eligibility test (That is Paper II Part A) marks will
not be considered for ranking. But all the candidates must scored minimum 40% of
questions i.e. 60 questions out of 150 questions. If any one
failed to get score 40% marks in Tamil eligibility test,
they will be treated as fail this entire exam.
Interview marks - 70 Marks.
Total marks - 570 Marks.

* Note: HRA, CCA are calculated for Chennai city. It will vary little
bit, according to your posting area.
** NOTE :
- The applicants who are Temporary Government Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (10(a)(i) appointees) will be given weightage of marks depending on the experience at the rate of 5 marks for every year and is subjected to maximum of 50 marks (restricted to total marks in written examination) as per the orders of the Supreme Court. Contract employees are not included under the Temporary Government Veterinary Assistant Surgeons i.e. 10 (a)(i) appointees.
- As per clarification issued by the Government in Letter No.11758/ .ப 7/2022-5 dated 07.10.2022, the temporary Government Veterinary Assistant Surgeons i.e. 10(a)(i) appointees shall attend the Part-A of Paper-II (Tamil Eligibility Test).
