• Bachelor Degree in Law and valid registration in Bar Council ; Practising as a advocate / pleader / Assistant Public Prosecutor ; minimum experience 3 years
• Educational Qualifications for fresh law graduates :
• Bachelor Degree in Law (passed out within three years) and 50% marks for UR candidates ; 45% marks for all others ; with eligibility to enroll in Bar Council

Age Limit Details  :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.07.2019
Minimum age limit is 18 years (should have completed) for all.
Maximum age limit is 30 years (should not have completed) for UR candidates  (except destitute widow).
No maximum age limit for BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates and Destitute Widow of all communities, includes UR.
PwD : Persons with Disabilities will get additional 10 years relaxation.

Examination Details :

Preliminary Examination - Time duration 3 hours - MCQ - 100 marks - Negative Marks applicable 0.25 marks for each wrong answers.
Main Examination - Time duration 12 hours - Descriptive Type - 400 marks

• Paper 1 - Translation Paper - 3 hours - 100 marks
• Paper 2 - Law Paper 1 - 3 hours - 100 marks
• Paper 3 - Law Paper 2 - 3 hours - 100 marks
• Paper 4 - Law Paper 3 - 3 hours - 100 marks

Interview - 60 marks

Preliminary Examination will be conducted in Chennai / Madurai / Coimbatore / Thirunelveli / Salem / Trichy / Thanjavur / Vellore / Villupuram cities of Tamil Nadu
Main Exam will be conducted in Chennai.
