• Probationary Officer (PO) - 2000 Posts - Basic Pay 27600 plus allowances in IDA Pay Structure of 23700-980-42020 range - Any Degree

Age limit details :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.04.2019
Minimum age limit is 21 years
Maximum age limit is as follows :
UR candidates 30 years
OBC candidates 33 years
SC / ST candidates 35 years
PwD UR candidates 40 years
PwD OBC candidates 43 years
PwD SC / ST candidates 45 years

How many times you can attend this SBI PO Exam?

After 18.04.2010 SBI restricted the number of appearance to attend the examination.
4 times for UR / UR EWS candidates
7 times for UR PwD / UR EWS PwD candidates
7 times for OBC and OBC PwD candidates
There is no restriction for SC / ST / SC PwD / ST PwD candidates.

Selection Procedure :

Selections will be made through written examination and interview.

Negative marking systems are applicable. 

0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answers in Preliminary Exam and Main Examination.

Preliminary Exam : (MCQs only)

• General English - 30 MCQs - 30 marks - 20 minutes
• Quantitative Aptitude - 35 MCQs - 305 marks - 20 minutes
• Reasoning Ability - 35 MCQs - 305 marks - 20 minutes

Main Examination : MCQs for 200 marks ; Descriptive (essay and letter writing) for 50 marks

• Reasoning and Computer Aptitude - 45 MCQs - 60 marks - 60 minutes
• Data Analysis and Interpretation - 35 MCQs - 60 marks - 45 minutes
• General Economy and Banking Awareness - 40 MCQs - 40 marks - 35 minutes
• General English - 35 MCQs - 40 marks - 40 minutes

Group Discussion (GD) - 20 Marks

Personal Interview (Oral Test) - 30 Marks

Preliminary Examination marks will not be added for final merit list preparation.

Final merit list marks will consist main examination marks, GD marks and Interview marks.
