Detailed Vacancy Positions :

• Gangman (Trainee) - 5000 Posts
• Salary : Salary will be paid as consolidated pay Rs.15000 per month for the period of two years training period ; After the confirmation Salary will be paid as regular Basic Pay Rs.16400 -- 51500 plus allowances in TANGEDCO pay structure - 
• Educational Qualifications : 5th Std Studies (i.e. Pass or Fail)
• Age limit : UR 35 years ; BC / BCM / MBC 37 years ; SC / SCA / ST 40 years.

Age Limit Details :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.07.2018

Minimum age is 18 years should be completed.

UR 30 years (should not be completed)

BC / BCM / MBC 37 years
SC / SCA / ST 40 years

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern :
Selections will be made through physical fitness test and written test.
Stage I : Physical Tests : Pole Climbing, Fixing the cross arm. etc.
Stage II : Written Exam. Those, who-ever passed the physical test, alone eligible to admit the written test. Questions will be in MCQ pattern. Exam Time 2 hours

Exam Fees :
Examination Fee Rs. 1000 for UR / BC / BC Muslims / MBC / DNC candidates.
Examination Fee Rs.500 for SC / SCA / ST / Persons with Disabilities (PwD / PH) / Destitute Widow

Physical Test :

• Activity 1
• Pole Climbing and Cross Arm Fixing
• Activity 2
• Plaiting of rope with AAAC conductor, marking and fixing the conductor on creeper, binding and fixing in the HT Disc and inserting the M.Pin. The above process should be completed within 2 minutes in one chance.
• Activity 3
• Lift and Carry 3 Nos. of three and half (3.5) feet V-Cross Arm (around 35 kg) for a distance of 100 meters in one minute in one chance without putting the weight down

Kind Attention : 

If the candidates failed in Activity 1, they will not sent for activity 2.

Who-ever completed the physical test (i.e. activity1, 2 and 3) alone eligible to attend the written test.

Questions will be in Tamil and English.

12.11.2019 : Certificate Verification and Physical Eligibility Test will be conducted by TANGEDCO from 25th November 2019 onwards. Call Letter for this CV / PET will be sent through email.
