- Sub-Inspector of Police (Finger Print) - 202 Posts - Basic Pay 36900 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu State Pay Matrix Level 18 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4800 in Pay Band II) - Minimum age 20 years ; maximum age 28 years
Educational Qualification required for TN Police SI (Fingerprint) vacancy 2018:
Cut-off date for educational qualification is 29.08.2018.
Bachelor's Degree in Science (BSc) any subject.
Physical Fitness Qualification required for TN Police SI (Finger Print) vacancy 2018:
Men candidates Height (SC / SCA / ST) 160 cms
Men candidates Height (BC / BCM / MBC / UR) 163 cms
Men candidates Chest Normal 80 cms ; Expansion 5 cms.
Women / Transgender Candidates Height (SC / SCA / ST) 152 cms
Women / Transgender Candidates Height (BC / BCM / MBC / UR) 154 cms
Age limit :
Cut-off date for age calculation is 01.07.2018
Minimum age limit is 20 years.
Maximum age limit as follows :
30 years for BC / BC Muslims / MBC / DNC candidates.
33 years for SC / SCA / ST candidates.
35 years for Destitute Widow from all communities.
45 years for Ex-serviceman and Internal (i.e. Tamilnadu Police Department) candidates.
About Transgender Candidates:
Transgender candidates are eligible to apply SI(Technical) 2018 examination.
- Transgender candidates may decide their self-identified gender anyone such as male or female or as third gender. If a Transgender candidate applies under third gender should upload an Identity Card obtained from the Tamil Nadu Transgenders Welfare Board
- If the transgender candidate opt male category should participate in the Physical Measurement Test prescribed for male candidates. If a transgender candidate choose the gender as female should participate in the Physical Measurement Test prescribed for female candidate.
- If transgender candidate applies under Third gender and will be treated like women candidate. The 30% reservation will apply to them
- If the transgender candidates produce their community certificate they can get the beneficiary of communal reservation like other candidates
- If the transgender candidates does not produce their community certificate, they will be treated as Most Backward Class category
Exam and Marks allotment Details :
Exam Fee Rs.500 for all.
Exam will be conducted as Online Computer Baste Test or Written Exam.
Total time duration for this exam is 3 hours.
Total 170 multiple choice questions will carry 0.5 marks each.
85 marks for written exam.
(General Studies / GK 55 marks ; General Ability Test General Ability Test includes Logical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Psychology Test, Communication Skills and Information Handling ability 30 marks)

5 marks will be provided for NCC / NSS / Sports / Games

ReplyDeleteYes you can apply. official notification says "Candidates should possess a degree in Science from any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission in the pattern of 10+2+3."
