• Senior Factory Assistant (SFA) - 275 Posts  - Basic Pay 15700 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu State Pay Matrix Level 1 (Basic Pay 4800 Grade Pay 1300)

Educational Qualifications :

• 12th Std Pass 

            OR

• ITI Trade Certificate in any subject.

Age limit details :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.01.2018

Minimum age limit is 18 years should have been completed.

UR candidates 30 years

BC / BC Muslims / MBC / DNC candidates 32 years

SC / SC Arunthathiyar / ST candidates 35 years

• Age limit for PwD candidates : Additional 10 years relaxation is applicable along-with the above roster system for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates. According to Government Order G.O.Ms.No.704 public (Services – A) Department dated 15.04.1964
• Age limit for Destitute Widow candidates : Maximum age limit for destitute widow will be as that of the age limit followed for scheduled caste candidate that is 35 years of age for all community as per Government Order Number G.O.Ms.No.225 personnel and administrative reforms (personnel – M) department dated 08.03.1984.
• Age limit for Ex-serviceman : Ex – Serviceman candidate belonging to general category, the maximum age limit will be 48 years of age and for Ex – Serviceman candidate belonging to all other community other than general category i.e. Scheduled caste, Scheduled caste Arunthathiyar, Scheduled tribe, Backward class, Backward class Muslim, Most Backward class, De - notified communities, the maximum age limit will be 53 years of age as per Government Order Number G.O.Ms.No. 988 Personnel and administrative reforms (PER – R) department dated 22.09.1981

Selection Procedure / recruitment method : 

Selection will be made through cut-off marks of academic scores. candidates list will be prepared based on candidate marks obtained in their 10th Std / 12th Std and ITI Trade.

• 12th Std Passed candidates : 40 marks for SSLC / 60 marks for HSC (+2).
• ITI Passed candidates : 40 marks for SSLC / 60 marks for ITI certificate marks.

How to apply for aavin SFA Posts :

Apply through ONLINE mode application process only.

All  the candidates should be apply through online even though they are recommended / sponsored by employment exchange / offices / Directorate of Ex-serviceman welfare.

Candidates are advised to apply through online for the vacancies existing in each federation units separately.

You can apply for all the six federation units separately.

Marks awarding pattern for 3rd, 4th, 5th attempt passed candidates :

Multiplier factor will be 0.8, 0.7, 0.6 respectively for the conversion of weightage marks for 40 marks.

• Example 1: 
• If a candidate has got 100% in SSLC/10th std in first attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 40 × 1.0 = 40. 
• If a candidate has got 100% in SSLC/10th std in second attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 40 × 0.9 = 36. 
• If a candidate has got 100% in SSLC/10th std in third attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 40 × 0.8 = 32

• Example 2: 
• If a candidate has got 100% in +2/ITI in first attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 60 × 1.0 = 60. 
• If a candidate has got 100% in +2/ITI in second attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 60 × 0.9 = 54.
• If a candidate has got 100% in +2/ITI in third attempt, his/her weightage marks will be calculated as 100/100 × 60 × 0.8 = 48.

Marks for Direct ITI passed candidates (that is 8th Std + ITI) :

ITI Candidates who have not passed SSLC/10th Std, Zero marks will be awarded for SSLC/10th Std.
