- Junior Trainee - 645 Posts (328 UR ; 190 OBC ; 112 SC ; 15 ST) - Stipend Rs.10700 for first year ; 12200 for second year; after successful completion of this training period trainee post will be confirmed as "Technician" with IDA Basic Pay 16800 plus allowances (CTC 4,70,000 pa) - 10th Std Pass with ITI Trade Certificate or Diploma Engineering (Higher Qualifications not eligible i.e. BE / BTech / BL / BHMS / MBA) - Age 27 years
- Mechanical - 344 Posts
- Electrical - 203 Posts
- Metallurgy - 98 Posts
- Field Assistant Trainee - 91 Posts (46 UR ; 25 OBC ; 14 SC ; 6 ST) - Stipend Rs.8600 for first year ; 10000 for second year; after successful completion of this training period trainee post will be confirmed as "Technician" with IDA Basic Pay 15830 plus allowances (CTC 4,38,000 pa) - 10th Std Pass (Higher Qualifications not eligible i.e. Diploma Engg / Any Degree / BE / BTech / BL / BHMS / MBA) - Age 27 years

- Visually Impaired (VI) Low Vision - 9 Posts
- Hearing Impaired (HH) - 13 Posts
- Orthopaedically Handicapped (OL) - 1 Post

Minimum age 18 years completed. Maximum age limit is as follows:
UR 27 years
OBC 30 years
SC / ST 32 years
PwD candidates 10 years additional relaxations along-with their communal relaxation.
Meritorious Sports Persons 5 years additional relaxation.
Ex-serviceman as per Central Govt rules.
