• Research Assistant in Statistics in Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Subordinate Service - 1 Post for UR - Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4700 in Pay Band II - Post Graduate Degree in Statistics or Mathematics (MSc Stats / MSc Maths / MSc Applied Maths) - Age 30 years for UR ; No Age Limit for all others including Destitute Widow of  all castes.
• Research Assistant in Economics in Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Subordinate Service - 1 Post for UR - Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4700 in Pay Band II - Post Graduate Degree in Economics (MA Eco / MA Applied Economics / MA Business Economics / MSc Mathematical Economics / MA Indian Economics) - Age 30 years for UR ; No Age Limit for all others including Destitute Widow of  all castes.

Exam Pattern for Research Officer MCQ Type :

• First Paper : PG Level Core subject 200 MCQ (300 marks) time 3 hours
• Second Paper : General Studies 75 MCQ in Degree Level ; Mental Ability 25 MCQ in SSLC Level Total 100 MCQ (200 marks) time 2 hours
• Oral Test / Personal Interview 70 marks

General Instructions :

Cut off date for qualification and age 5th October, 2015.

Last date for online application 4th November 2015.
Examination will be conducted in Chennai center only.

Qualification must be as 10+2+3+2 / 10+2+5 pattern or equivalent.
