  • Mail Guard - 1 Post - Basic Pay 5200 Grade Pay 2000 in Pay Band I category - 10th Std Pass / SSLC / Matriculation Pass - Age 27 years
Age Limit :
Cut off date for age limit is 04.10.2015
UR 27 years
UR PwD / PH candidates 37 years
OBC 30 years
OBC PwD / PH candidates 40 years
SC / ST 32 years
SC / ST PwD / PH candidates 42 years
Government servants UR 40 years
Government servants SC / ST / OBC 43 years


General Instructions :
Apply through online application registration mode only.
Horizontal Reservations are applicable for Persons with Disability / PH quota : Visually Impaired (Low Vision), Hearing Impaired and Orthopedically Impaired
Application Fee Rs,100 for all categories
Examination Fee Rs.400 for UR and OBC male candidates. 
No Examination Fee for Women candidates, PwD / PH , SC, ST applicants.


Selection Procedure :
Selection through written test and interview.
Questions will be in the format of MCQ
There is no negative marks for wrong answers.
Syllabus : (i) General Studies 25 marks (ii) Mathematics 25 marks (iii) General English 25 marks (iv) General Tamil பொதுத் தமிழ் 25 marks
Minimum 10 marks should be taken for each part for UR ; 9 marks for OBC ; 8 marks for SC / ST.

      OBC certificate is issuing from Taluk Office. Validity of OBC Certificate one from the date of issue.

      Hi Rajeshkumar,

      we have clearly mentioned about age details.
      Base age limit is 27 years (that is for UR candidates); 3 years relaxations is applicable for OBC candidates (MBC / BC). So, after the relaxations your age limit is 30 years.

      Validity of OBC certificate is ONE YEAR from the date of issue.
