Part A: 40 marks (80 questions × ½ mark each)

Normal: Minimum 81 cm
- Expanded (after deep breath): Minimum 5 cm expansion
Exemptions:

Ex-servicemen, serving military personnel retiring within 1 year, and ex-CAPF personnel are exempted from PMT.
Key Notes:

Height and chest measurements are strictly enforced for non-exempt candidates.

Women candidates are only measured for height (no chest measurement).

Expansion test ensures candidates meet respiratory fitness standards.
